Fair Use Policy

1. Why We Have Usage Limits

Several features on realIQ trigger real-time calls to government portals or paid third-party data services. Each call carries a cost — either a direct financial charge (paid APIs) or indirect load on shared government infrastructure. Limits protect:

• Financial sustainability — data integration costs (mapping tile services, third-party data APIs, email delivery) scale directly with usage. Limits ensure we can serve all subscribers without service degradation or unexpected cost spikes.
• Responsible use of public systems — government data portals are shared public infrastructure. We rate-limit all crawler and proxy activity to avoid placing excessive load on these services on behalf of any single user.
• Service reliability for everyone — fair limits prevent one subscriber from consuming a disproportionate share of backend capacity, which would degrade the experience for all other users.
• Prevention of misuse — limits deter credential sharing and automated harvesting that circumvent the per-user cost model on which fair pricing depends.

2. Feature Usage Quotas by Tier

The table below shows default limits for each subscription tier. Quotas reset at the start of each calendar month or UTC day (as noted). You can view your current consumption on the Usage Dashboard.

* Monthly limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC). Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. Unused quota does not roll over. Limits shown are per account (one natural person).
★ Pro download limit is 30/month (3× the Plus quota of 10). Buyer/individual accounts download site plans only; professional/seller accounts get access to all document types — EIA reports, drawings, site plans, and Form 1A.

3. External Data Services & Cost Policy

realIQ integrates with a range of government databases and third-party services to deliver real-time intelligence. We enforce strict rate limits on all outbound data calls. The categories below describe each integration type and the constraints that apply. Specific technology vendors are not disclosed to protect our infrastructure.

4. Document Service Limits (Plus & Pro Features)

Document downloads and the following Pro data-fetch services are metered monthly. Limits protect government portal infrastructure and keep costs sustainable for all subscribers.

All document service calls are logged in your account usage record. When a monthly limit is reached, subsequent requests return a quota-exceeded error. Limits reset on the 1st of each month. If your Pro workload genuinely requires a higher quota, contact us — we can discuss a custom arrangement.

5. One Account Per User — Account Sharing Prohibition

• Each subscription tier is priced for use by one natural person. Usage costs and API quotas are calibrated on that assumption.
• realIQ may monitor for anomalous usage patterns — such as simultaneous logins from multiple IP addresses, unusual geographic diversity, or usage volumes inconsistent with a single researcher's workflow.
• Accounts exhibiting these patterns may be flagged for review. We will contact the account holder before taking action; repeated or egregious violations will result in immediate suspension without refund.
• Using multiple Free accounts to aggregate intelligence that would otherwise require a paid subscription is treated the same as credential sharing and is prohibited.
• If your organisation needs access for multiple researchers or teams, a Business or Enterprise plan is the appropriate solution — see Section 8 below.

6. Acceptable Use Rules

In addition to the Terms & Conditions, the following rules apply specifically to data-intensive features:

• You may not use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to systematically harvest data from realIQ at scale. Map tile requests, parcel clicks, and intelligence lookups should reflect genuine human research activity.
• Circumventing quota limits — for example by using multiple accounts, shared credentials, or credential rotation — is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account suspension.
• Data retrieved via document services (Encumbrance Certificates, Land Records, Fire NOC checks) is for your personal due diligence only. Redistribution, resale, or systematic republication is prohibited.
• Do not submit search queries containing sensitive personal information (Aadhaar, PAN, biometric identifiers) — realIQ does not store or process such data.
• Government-sourced data on this platform is re-presented for research convenience only. Always verify critical details directly with the relevant authority before making financial or legal decisions.

If your team's research volume genuinely exceeds Pro limits — for example, a due diligence firm, a property fund, or a large developer running batch lookups — we offer flexible arrangements. We prefer to find a commercially fair solution rather than penalise legitimate professional use.

9. Changes to This Policy

We review quotas quarterly and will update this page if limits change. Significant reductions to existing tier limits will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance. Your continued use of realIQ after a quota change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. You can always view the current policy at realiq.in/fair-use.
