We collect the following categories of information when you create an account and use realIQ:

• Account information — email address, display name, and profile photo, collected via Supabase Auth (Google, email/password, or magic link sign-in).
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, search queries, and map interactions, collected to understand how the platform is used and to improve the experience.
• Subscription data — your selected plan and payment status. Payment card details are handled entirely by Razorpay and are never stored on our servers.
• Saved preferences — map boundaries, watchlists, preferred area units, alert configurations, and other settings you customise within the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate and improve realIQ:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services, including personalised map views and analytics.
• Process subscriptions and billing through Razorpay.
• Send alerts and notifications you have explicitly opted into (e.g., new EC filings in a watched area).
• Analyse aggregated usage patterns to identify bugs, improve performance, and prioritise new features.
• Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.

3. Data Sources

realIQ aggregates and enriches publicly available data. We do not generate or fabricate any project or corporate data. Our sources include:

• PARIVESH — Environmental Clearance filings, project metadata, KML boundaries, and approval statuses published by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India.
• MCA21 — Company registration records, director information, and compliance data published by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
• Spatial / geographic data — district boundaries, zone polygons, and other geographic datasets sourced from publicly available government and open-data repositories.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• Payment processing — Razorpay processes subscription payments on our behalf. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant and handles all card data directly.
• Infrastructure providers — Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting and edge delivery) process data as part of service operation.
• Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required to do so by Indian law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
• Supabase Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own account data.
• Service role keys are never exposed to the frontend — all client-side requests use the restricted anonymous key.
• We conduct regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure configurations.

6. Cookies

realIQ uses cookies strictly for authentication purposes:

• Supabase authentication session cookies are used to keep you signed in across page visits.
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
• No cookie consent banner is required as our cookies are strictly necessary for service operation.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access, review, and correct your account information at any time from your profile settings.
• Export your saved maps, watchlists, and preferences.
• Unsubscribe from alerts and notifications at any time from the alerts settings page.
• Request complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us via the contact page.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of realIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
